initially to help forum posters format their posts with HTML tags to make
them look nice - on forum software that allows inclusion of HTML tags,
such as the widespread Web BBS system used at sites like Rumor Mill News,
where I post sometimes, and Surfing the Apocalypse, another favorite site. It also solves a very common problem for posters cutting and pasting from various sources like email where fixed line breaks may exist in the source text. This creates a nearly unreadable jagged text with line endings all over the place. Select such text, click "format paragraphs" and text will get smoothly wordwrapped the way it should be. |
